Purdys 3 Part NPK (Salts & Liquid)

Preparing salts

Place each bag of salts into its own suitable, graduated container. Add water until the salts and water together reach the volume mark for the pack you purchased—for example, the 1L mark for a 1L pack. You will need slightly less than 1L of water. Do not add a full litre of water on top of the salts.

Use water at a minimum temperature of 10°C and mix thoroughly, allowing the salts to dissolve. Keep each part separate throughout preparation.

A very small amount of insoluble matter may remain after the salts have dissolved. Pour each concentrate through the supplied filter into its final container. Alternatively, stir and allow it to stand for one minute so that the insoluble matter settles to the bottom. Then pour the concentrate into its final container, leaving the settled matter at the bottom of the original container.

Once prepared to the correct final volume, your concentrate is equivalent to our liquid range, apart from any minerals introduced by your water. If your tap water is very hard, consider using reverse osmosis (RO) water.

Mixing your feed

Using your prepared concentrates, add equal amounts of Part 1 and Part 2 to your feed water at the recommended or your chosen dose. Add each part separately, mixing thoroughly before adding the next.

Part 3 may be added during fruiting for extra phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), but is not always necessary. Use the NPK calculator for all three parts. Check the final feed’s pH and adjust if needed.

Purdys CalciMag (Salts & Liquid)

Preparing salts

Add the pack of salts to a separate, suitable container. Top up with water to the final concentrate volume stated on the pack and allow the salts to dissolve. Liquid products are supplied as ready-made concentrates.
